Workshops
We have developed several training series to support women as they navigate both for profit and nonprofit industries. COC invites experts monthly to share their knowledge and personal business journeys. These workshops are designed to address the challenges facing women and business projects and/or challenges in the economy.
As a result of the current Covid 19 Virus pandemic, new concerns have emerged for small businesses who are involved in service delivery. In response, the CDC is frequently updating new safety regulations.
The organization will implement a hybrid of virtual professional developmental programming and small group programming until it is safe to commune in large numbers again.
Vision Board Party
Our annual vision board party is a goal-setting event where business women and aspiring business women are able create a visualization of their goals. They are fun to create and can serve as an invaluable tool to motivate and inspire you towards concrete daily action in pursuit of your biggest and most important life goals.
Virtual Meeting Space
Collaboration over Competition (COC) offers a virtual meeting space for aspiring business women to come together with like minded people. Collaboration Over Competition is a virtual community space created for “Boss Ladies” that build each other up and exchange useful information to equip them to go to new levels in their business ventures.
Giving Back
COC will be partnering with local shelters etc to offer our time and our talents. We wish to inspire others to follow their dreams despite there circumstances. We want to sponsor community events and work shops, pop up shops, holiday giveaways and more!
Youth Mentorship
Networking
Networking events will serve as a platform where COC can share its mission and solicit like-minded support to establish a professional community to create more opportunities. Group events will include, but not be limited to: Professional Speaker Series; Business Pitch Contest; Game Night; Speed Networking; Vision Board, Paint Night; Mental Health & Wellness; Pop Up Shop/Swap & Shop; Self-Care & Pamper Night etc.
Collaboration Over Competition also advocates for early financial literacy and provides professional development for disadvantaged young women ages 8-18. The organization will also host interactive financial literacy workshops for girls to encourage them to make good financial decisions. Students will engage in group projects that build math, business, and financial skills needed to start a business.
Youth Pitch Contest
Sister Circle
Collaboration Over Competition Youth Pitch Competition is a pitch contest for girls in Pennsylvania ages 8 – 20. The purpose of this competition is to extend opportunities for young female entrepreneurs to access funding needed to get their budding businesses registered with the state. The girls in our first cohort received mentorship and guidance as they connect their passions to problem solving solutions. Participants received comprehensive mentorship and support from professionals specializing in business development, marketing, finance and branding. This exposure has linked the girls to an overflow of opportunities including potential investors, new business relationships and peers who are equally passionate about solving problems through innovation.

Hosted by Collaboration Over Competition, this intimate gathering brings like-minded women together to network, share knowledge, and build meaningful relationships in a supportive, judgment-free zone.
